BURTON LADY PANTHERS CRUSH MILANO 22-1 IN THREE INNINGS

Although it was just a three-inning game, the night must have seemed much longer for the Milano Lady Eagles as they lost the district opener to the Burton Panthers 22-1.

Burton jumped out early with 16 runs in the top of the first inning and never had to look back. The Lady Panthers would go on to score five runs in the second and one more in the third inning.

Head Coach Zack Zorn was able to empty his bench early and get everyone into the game.

Amaya Williams led Burton at the plate with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

The Lady Panthers were also able to take advantage of five Milano errors and drawing 11 walks as a team.

Milano's lone run came in the bottom of the second inning.

Lexi Broeche got the win after throwing three no-hit innings, allowing only one unearned run, one walk, and six strikeouts.

The same two teams are scheduled to meet again on Friday at 6pm in Burton.
