OUT OF POCKET THEATRE HOSTING FIRST PRODUCTION, ‘PRINCESS WINSOME’S RESCUE’
A new theatre organization in Brenham is getting ready to share its first production with the community.
Out of Pocket Theatre will stage “Princess Winsome’s Rescue” March 27-29 at the Dr. Bobbie M. Dietrich Memorial Amphitheatre at Hohlt Park.
The fairy tale tells the story of Princess Winsome and her brother, Prince Hero, who are stolen away by a vengeful ogre and an ambitious witch, and a terrible spell threatens to transform the prince forever. As the princess spins a golden thread of hope, a faithful knight sets out on a daring quest to summon the fairies and save them both.
Out of Pocket Theatre, founded by Jordan Alexander-Gaskamp, was formed to provide accessible and imaginative theatre experiences that celebrate creativity, foster community engagement, and uplift voices through live performance in Washington County and surrounding areas.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27th; 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29th. Guests are invited to bring cushions or stadium seats, as the venue has concrete benches.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for students and $5 for children under 12.
