BRENHAM POLICE ARREST HEMPSTEAD MAN FOR THEFT
A Hempstead man was arrested by Brenham police on Monday on a theft charge.
At 3 p.m., Officers Mateo Guillen and Trinten Rolling responded to a business in the 2500 block of South Day Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, officers learned that a subject identified as 47-year-old Kenneth McDonald allegedly took over $800 worth of merchandise past the point of sale without rendering payment.
Store staff provided a vehicle description, and with assistance from DPS, a traffic stop was conducted.
McDonald was positively identified and was taken into custody for Theft of Property $750 - $2,500. He was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
