BURTON BASEBALL GETS THE DISTRICT SWEEP OVER SNOOK WITH A 14-0 WIN

The Burton Panther Baseball Team continued their dominance over the Snook Blue Jays with a 14-0 win on the road last (Friday) night.

Burton scored seven runs in the first and seven runs in the third, which led to the game being stopped after just three innings.

Eli Jaeger got the win after throwing three no-hit innings.

In the first, Burton got an RBI single from Rueben Rodriguez, an RBI triple from Ryder Biggs, and a two-run triple by Tyler Witt. The other runs scored on a bases loaded walk, and an error. The Panthers led at that point 7-0.

Burton would put the game away in the top of the third inning. The Panthers scored on a pair of RBI singles by Hank Majewski, an RBI double by Braydon Martin, and an RBI single by Rodriguez. They also had another run score on a bases loaded walk, while two runs came in on an error. Those runs gave the Panthers a 14-0 lead.

With the win, Burton is now 14-3 overall, and 3-1 in district. Next up, they will host Mumford on Tuesday at 6:30pm.
