BRENHAM PD ARRESTS HOUSTON MAN SUSPECTED IN MULTIPLE THEFTS STATEWIDE

  

A Houston man reportedly suspected in thefts around Texas was arrested by Brenham police on Monday.

At 8:15 a.m., Officer Gabriel Duran responded to locate a vehicle in reference to Lowe’s Home Improvement, 2750 Highway 36 South.  Police say Lowe’s management reported a known theft suspect with a vehicle linked to multiple theft cases across the state, totaling approximately $100,000 in losses.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 2500 block of South Day Street.  According to police, the driver was found to have stolen merchandise and had an active warrant out of the Pearland Police Department for Theft of Property $750 - $2,500.

36-year-old Richyrd Zachary Gomez Blanco was taken into custody for the warrant and another charge of Theft of Property $750 - $2,500.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
