TWO ACCIDENT CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department went out to three calls on Monday.
Shortly after 7 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 900 block of Old Navasota Road for a transportation incident. They found a single vehicle that ran through a fence. The driver was checked out by EMS, and the fire department returned to service after finding no fluids leaking.
At 10:30 a.m., personnel responded to Brenham High School, 525 A H Ehrig Drive, for an alarm sounding. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building. Firefighters found that the alarm was caused by work being done inside by the maintenance department, so they reset the alarm.
A few minutes past 1:45 p.m., units were called out to Highway 290 West and Prairie Lea Street for a transportation incident. They discovered a single vehicle with major damage, but no one was hurt. BFD members checked for fluids and found none, so they returned to the station after the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
