BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL WINTERGUARD WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Brenham High School Winterguard went into San Marcos this past Saturday, and came back as State Champions.
The Winterguard’s Director, Josh Turnipseed, who the students refer to as “Mr. T”, told KWHI about how proud he was of their performance.
The team was been named the Texas Color Guard Circuit Scholastic AA Red State Champions. They beat out Shadow Creek for the top spot.
Judging Criteria in the competition included Equipment Analysis, Movement Anaylsis, Design Analysis, and General Effect.
Turnipseed called the achievement a true testament to the Brenham students’ dedication, precision, and countless hours of hard work.
He also went on to thank the parents, the band directors, and the Brenham ISD Administation for their continued support.
