HOUSTON MAN ARRESTED BY NAVASOTA POLICE ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

Navasota Police have arrested a suspect on multiple charges stemming from an investigation following an incident that occurred this past Sunday.

Patrick Jeffery
(Grimes Co. Jail)

Around 6:30 p.m., Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Doris Street following a report from an anonymous caller of a possible burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers made contact at the apartment and observed a male subject inside who refused to exit.

Officers spoke with the tenant, who confirmed the individual had permission to be in the residence and possessed a key. During this time, officers observed the suspect placing items against the door, appearing to block entry.

The tenant identified the individual as 32-year-old Patrick Jeffery, of Houston.

Due to the subject’s behavior, officers remained on scene and requested assistance from Navasota Police investigators and partner agencies.

During the investigation, dispatch advised that earlier in the day, officers had responded to the same apartment complex for a reported assault involving Jeffery.

He had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival, but a second individual involved had been identified.

Investigators located and interviewed the second individual, who reported the altercation stemmed from an incident the previous evening in which Jeffery allegedly exposed himself to juvenile females.

Investigators then interviewed witnesses, including the juveniles, and reviewed available video evidence. Based on the information gathered, investigators established probable cause and obtained arrest warrants for Jeffery on felony charges.

While the warrants were being prepared, Jeffery exited the apartment and was detained without incident. Once the warrants were signed, he was transported to the Grimes County Jail. Per the Grimes County Sheriff's Office, he is charged with two counts of Indecency with a Child - Exposure, with bond set for each count at $100,000.
