11 SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Eleven people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.
36-year-old Brande Nichole Russell of Brenham, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years in prison for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a first degree felony. Russell was also sentenced to 4 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony, and 413 days in state jail for Abandoning/Endangering a Child, a state jail felony.
27-year-old Eric Gutierrez of Brenham, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 5 years in prison for Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony. Gutierrez was also sentenced to 5 years in prison for Assault of a Peace Officer, a second degree felony.
29-year-old Ricardo Lagueere of Florida (specific address unknown), sentenced to 687 days in state jail for Credit/Debit Card Abuse, a state jail felony.
31-year-old Tracy Nicole Moore Jr. of Houston, sentenced to 180 days in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
22-year-old Waymond O’Neil Watkins of Brenham, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years in prison for Attempted Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact, a third degree felony.
49-year-old Amber Sowders of Pickton, sentenced to 52 days in the Washington County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, a state jail felony.
42-year-old Roberto C. Perez of Cypress, sentenced to 8 years’ probation for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a third degree felony. Perez was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, and he must maintain no contact with the victims in the case.
40-year-old Victor Jesus Madueno Guerrero of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. Guerrero must also pay a $500 fine, a $100 family violence fee to a shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee. Additionally, he must maintain no contact with the victim in the case and complete a batterers intervention program. The court affirmed a family violence finding.
40-year-old Megan Jane Pillow of Montgomery, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, a third degree felony. Pillow was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, and she must complete a drug offender education program.
20-year-old Tyrone Vontrell Strickland of Houston, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Pregnant Person, a third degree felony. Strickland will also have to pay a $1,000 fine, a $100 family violence fee to a shelter, and $50 warrant and crime stoppers fees. Additionally, he must complete a residential program and batterers intervention program, and he must maintain no contact with the victim in the case. The court affirmed a family violence finding.
56-year-old Shannon Scott Raska of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ probation for Terroristic Threat Impersonating a Public Servant Causing Public Fear of Serious Bodily Injury/Influencing Gun Violence, a third degree felony. Raska was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, and will also have to complete a drug offender education program.
