BRENHAM FD RESPONDS MONDAY TO ACCIDENTS, GAS LEAK
The Brenham Fire Department was called out five times on Monday.
Just before 3:45 a.m., units responded to a fire alarm at Prairie Lea Hall, 911 West Fifth Street. They found burnt food had caused the alarm to go off, so they reset the alarm.
A crash was called in shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Highway 290 West, but the fire department was cancelled after arriving on scene.
Firefighters were dispatched to another crash around 8:45 a.m. at Highway 290 West and Old Mill Creek Road. They provided traffic control before returning to service.
At 3:30 p.m., BFD personnel responded to a gas leak at a home in the 200 block of East Stone Street. After making location, they were released by the City of Brenham Gas Department.
Approaching 11 p.m., units went out to a crash at Highway 36 South and Welcome Way, but they were cancelled upon arrival.
