SPENCER AND HOUSTON NAMED CO-WINNERS OF THE DON WILHELM AWARD
Two members of the Blinn Buccaneer Women's Basketball Team have been named as the winners of this year's Don Wilhelm Award.
The winners are Taylor Spencer, a sophomore from Cleveland High School (TX), and Mariah Houston, a sophomore from Leander Glenn High School.
Spencer and Houston were the top two scorers on a Blinn team that went 18-13 this past season. Spencer averaged 9.8 points per game, while Houston averaged 9.7 points per game.
They both also received Region XIV All-Region and All-Conference honors as well.
The Don Wilhelm Award goes each year to the MVP of the Blinn Buccaneer Women's Basketball Team.
The Wilhelm Award is named after former Blinn College athletic director Don Wilhelm, an NJCAA Hall of Famer and member of the Blinn College Hall of Honor who served the college for 10 years.
