BURTON SOFTBALL LANDS MULTIPLE PLAYERS ON THE ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

After the completion of another successful season, the Burton Lady Panther Softball Team landed multiple players on the District 26-2A All District Team.

To no one's surprise, CF Amaya Williams was chosen as the District's Most Valuable Player after an incredible senior season. Williams had a .742 batting average to go along with 23 home runs and 82 RBIs. She also had 22 doubles, four triples, and scored 62 runs.

2B Paige Fritsch, another senior on the team, was named as the District's Offensive MVP. She finished with a .450 batting average, 11 doubles, 1 triple, nine home runs, 48 RBIs, and 37 runs scored.

Lexi Broesche, a sophomore, was chosen as the District's Pitcher of the Year. Broesche was 15-4 with a 2.93 ERA. She struck out 141 batters compared to just 36 walks.

OF Natalie Hodde was named to the All-District First Team.

Second Team Honors went to SS Aerynn Huntsman, 1B Melanie Wood, C Leilah Ellis, and 3B Laci Broesche.

OF Kelsey Landriault received Honorable Mention All-District.

Academic All District Honors went to Abby Dowling, Aerynn Huntsman, Amaya Williams, Kolbie Parker, Melanie Wood, Paige Fritsch, Adison Harmel, Kara Landriault, Skyler Unger, Autumn Applewhite, Kinley Frank, Laci Broesche, Lexi Broesche, Natalie Hodde, Kelsey Landriault, and Reese Spacek.

The Lady Panthers finished the season with a record of 21-14. They were undefeated District Champions and made it to the fourth round of the playoffs.
