BRENHAM, BURTON ISDs HOSTING GRADUATION FRIDAY

  

High school students in Washington County are embarking on the next stage in their lives, as they take part in graduation ceremonies tonight (Friday).

Brenham High School’s graduation is set for 8 p.m. at Cub Stadium.

Brenham’s top graduates in the Class of 2026 are valedictorian Drake Bentke and salutatorian Levi DuPont.  This year’s graduating class has 378 members, including 160 honor graduates.

Burton High School will hold its graduation at 8 p.m. at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center, opting to move from Panther Stadium due to the threat of weather.

Leading the Burton class are valedictorian Paige Fritsch and salutatorian Melanie Wood.  Thirty-five students are graduating this year, including 13 honor graduates.

KWHI will broadcast the Brenham graduation on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com, as well as the KWHI Facebook page.  Burton’s graduation will be on the alternate sports stream on the website and the KWHI mobile app.
