JUNETEENTH ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK IN WASHINGTON CO.
The Washington County Juneteenth Association will host a range of activities as part of the annual celebration of Juneteenth.
Among this week’s events will be Senior Bingo tomorrow (Tuesday) from 5 to 7 p.m. at Community of Worship, 1630 Highway 290 West. Ages 60 and up are welcome to participate.
The Juneteenth Kickoff will take place on Friday with a Family Night in the Park from 6 to 10 p.m. at Fireman’s Park, featuring music from DJ BANO Burns.
The Juneteenth parade will ride through downtown Brenham on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. KWHI will have a live broadcast of the parade on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com.
After the parade, the public is invited to the Jubilee celebration at Fireman’s Park from noon to 5 p.m., with music, shopping and games.
Admission for Juneteenth festivities is free.
