BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER BID FOR HIGHWAY 105 LIFT STATION, ENGINEERING AGREEMENT FOR RAW WATER INTAKE PROJECT

The Brenham City Council will meet Thursday to potentially proceed with lift station and raw water intake pumping station projects.

Councilmembers will look to accept a bid for the installation of a new 2,250-gallon-per-minute lift station on Highway 105.  The city received seven bids, with the low bid being from Doughtie Construction, Inc. of Huntsville at $2,489,290.

The council will also take up a professional services agreement with Strand Associates for engineering services to rehabilitate the city’s raw water intake pumping station.  The scope of work for the agreement, which would be for an amount not to exceed $300,000, is for design, bidding-related and construction-related services.

The council will meet Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.
