SIX SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge John Winkelmann.

26-year-old Charles Edward Dorsey II of Washington, sentenced to 5 years in prison for Assault Intentionally/Recklessly Impeding Breath/Circulation to a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a second degree felony, and Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a second degree felony.  Dorsey also had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 300 days in the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, a Class A misdemeanor.

68-year-old David Wayne Shires of Houston, sentenced to 4 years in prison for Forgery of a Financial Instrument $30,000 - $150,000, a second degree felony. 

40-year-old Jesus Rodriguez-Pacheco of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor.  Rodriguez-Pacheco must also pay a $500 fine, $100 to the EMS Trauma Fund and $60 in restitution.  Additionally, he must perform 30 hours of community service, complete a drug offender education program, and have an interlock device installed on his vehicle for one year.

31-year-old Matthew Isaac Garcia of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a third degree felony.  Garcia must also pay a $500 fine, a $50 crime stoppers fee and $100 to a family violence shelter. 

35-year-old Mindy Renee Demuth of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Peace Officer, a second degree felony.  Demuth will also have to pay a $1,500 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, in addition to performing 150 hours of community service.

19-year-old Deedrick Gerard Reese Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, a third degree felony.  Reese was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, as well as perform 240 hours of community service and spend 30 days in the Washington County Jail as a condition of probation.
