SEVEN SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Seven people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court, before Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.

35-year-old Bracken Bailey Bowen of Brenham, sentenced to 8 years in prison for Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony.

40-year-old Todd Christian Johnson of San Marcos, probation revoked and sentenced to 4 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams, a second degree felony. 

41-year-old Justin James Rogers of Somerville, sentenced to 3 years in prison for Evading Arrest/Detention with Previous Conviction, a second degree felony.

33-year-old Garrett Sunderhuse of Brenham, sentenced to 8 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, a third degree felony.  Sunderhuse was also ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and a $50 crime stoppers fee, and he must perform 200 hours of community service. 

32-year-old Carolyn Howard of Brenham, sentenced to 6 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony.  Howard must pay a $500 fine and $50 crime stoppers fee, in addition to performing 100 hours of community service.  Howard was also sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Injury to a Child, a third degree felony.  For that offense, she must pay a $50 crime stoppers fee and complete a batterers intervention program. 

23-year-old Miguel Angel Aguayo of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath, a third degree felony.  Aguayo must also pay a $2,000 fine, a $100 family violence fee and a $50 crime stoppers fee.  Additionally, he must complete a batterers intervention program and maintain no contact with the victim in the case.  The court affirmed a family violence finding.

22-year-old Serena Marie Blevins of Burton, sentenced to 1 year of deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Class A misdemeanor.  Blevins will also have to perform 40 hours of community service.
