A Hempstead man accused in an armed robbery reported last month in Chappell Hill has been taken into custody.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says it responded on July 7th for a weapon-involved call in the 9100 block of Providence Street.

The victim told the sheriff’s office she had pulled into her driveway and was approached by a male subject as she exited her vehicle.  The victim stated that the subject displayed a gun and demanded her purse and threatened her if she did not comply.

After conducting interviews and reviewing camera footage in the area, the sheriff’s office issued a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Tamendreon O’Bryon Phillips.

Phillips was arrested in Waller County on Wednesday and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he has been charged with Aggravated Robbery.  His bond has been set at $150,000.
