BURTON VOLLEYBALL OPENS COLUMBUS TOURNAMENT WITH THREE WINS
The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team won all three of their matches on Thursday, the first day of the Columbus Tournament.
Burton opened the tournament by defeating the Lexington Lady Eagles in two straight sets 25-12 and 25-13.
In the second match of the day, the Lady Panthers swept Edna 26-24 and 25-12.
They would later knock off the host team, the Columbus Cardinals, 2-1. Burton won the first set 25-20, Columbus won the second set 25-16, but then the Lady Panthers won the deciding set 25-23.
Burton is now off to a 4-1 start to the season.
The Columbus Tournament continues later today (Friday).
