MIKE VANCE TO PRESENT ‘UNDERTOLD TEXAS: PART II’ AT BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM AUG. 24

  

Historian and author Mike Vance is the next featured speaker in the Brenham Heritage Museum’s Dr. Wilfred Dietrich Speaker Series.

Vance’s presentation on Monday, August 24th will be titled “Undertold Texas: Part II”, exploring lesser-known stories from Texas history.  The program will run from 6 to 7 p.m. at the museum at 105 South Market Street.

The program will include a Texas German Civil War story and history about the early days of Texas aviation, an emerging 19th-century technology, and the first declaration of Texas independence.

Copies of “Undertold Texas: Volume II” will be available for purchase before and after the lecture. 

A members-only reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include food and refreshments. 

The museum thanks Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, for its support of the event.
