BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR FAMILY ASSAULT, DWI
Brenham police reported an arrest on Tuesday for family assault and another arrest early this (Wednesday) morning for driving while intoxicated.
Approaching 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Officer LeDarion Jenkins responded to the 300 block of Tison Street in reference to a lapsed disturbance. After further investigation, 19-year-old Leonard Aurelio Barrera III of Brenham was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Around 12:45 a.m. today, Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. was dispatched to the 2800 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a driver falling asleep in their vehicle. Upon arrival and after investigation, police determined that 25-year-old Tarena Marie Deminck of Brenham had allegedly been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Deminck was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail without incident for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.
