Brenham competed against more than 1,000 students from Cypress, Spring Woods and Waller for a place in the TMEA All-Region Band.  Only 30 percent of students who audition earn the honor.

Earning district honors were Cormac Ervin, Max Guerrero, and Kynlee Klekar.  Wesley Whitehead, Hillary Do, CeCe Schluens, Alex Shell, Wynn Clark, and Jairo Vasquez Ochoa earned placement in the TMEA All-Region Band.  Wynn Clark is a two-year All-Region member, having also earned a place in the band as a seventh grader.

To prepare for the auditions, students learned two pieces of music and memorized eight scales.  They then performed selected portions for a panel of judges and advanced through two rounds of adjudication to earn their placements.

The Brenham Junior High band directors say they are extremely proud of the students and their accomplishments.

All-Region Band members will participate in a clinic and concert November 13-14 at the Visual and Performing Arts Center in Cypress.
