NOMINATIONS BEING TAKEN FOR COPPER STAR AWARDS
Nominations are open for the 2026 edition of the Copper Star Awards, honoring Washington County’s unsung heroes.
The awards program, sponsored by PlanNorth Architectural Company, aims to celebrate those who lead by example, work hard, act with integrity, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Selected honorees will be recognized at a private award ceremony, and one award winner will be able to direct a $1,000 donation from PlanNorth to a local nonprofit of their choice.
Nominees must be Washington County residents who have worked in the region for at least 5 years. They must demonstrate leadership by example and excellent integrity, and they must not be an executive leader, community award recipient or business owner – except solopreneurs. Additionally, they must not be an immediate family member or a current or former PlanNorth employee.
Nominations may be completed and submitted online at www.plannorth.com/culture or via the QR code on flyers located around the community. Physical nomination forms are available at the PlanNorth office in downtown Brenham at 107 South Baylor Street. Nominations are due by Friday, October 2nd.
