BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT WEDNESDAY FOR TWO ACCIDENTS, GAS LINE HIT

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday.

Around 9:45 a.m., units were called to South Market Street and Pecan Street for a report of a contractor that had hit a gas line.  They found a gas line hit, with the City of Brenham Gas Department clamping the pipe off.  Once the pipe was clamped, the fire department cleared the scene.

At 10:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 800 block of South Chappell Hill Street for a transportation incident.  They found a single vehicle that hit an electric pole.  No fluids were leaking, and there was minor damage to the pole.

Another transportation incident was reported just before 2 p.m. in the 2300 block of Becker Drive.  There, BFD members found a two-vehicle accident.  No fluids were leaking, and no one was hurt.  Once the roadway was cleared, units returned to service.
