Sproet joins KTEX after spending several years at Houston's 93Q Country, where he worked his way from the promotions department into weekend and evening on-air positions before becoming the station's full-time midday host.

During his time at 93Q, Sproet was part of station teams recognized with an Academy of Country Music Award in 2023 and a Country Music Association Award in 2025.

Sproet also played an active role in the station's fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He helped with annual campaigns raising hundreds of thousands of dollars and created a livestream featuring local musicians that generated more than $15,000 for the organization.

A native of Missouri City, Texas, Sproet enjoys hunting, working out and the outdoors.

KTEX General Manager Shannan Canales says the addition of Sproet reflects the station's continued investment in experienced radio personalities while maintaining its commitment to local programming and community involvement.

Sproet joins a KTEX team that includes other personalities with major-market radio experience and national industry recognition.

Listeners can hear Sproet on KTEX 106.1 FM as he becomes part of the station's afternoon lineup.
