THREE ACCIDENTS AMONG FOUR CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Tuesday.
Just before 3:15 p.m., units went out for a fire alarm at Prairie Lea Hall, 911 West Fifth Street. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building. They found a bad detector, reset the alarm and advised maintenance to have the detector replaced.
Close to 4:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a transportation incident at Highway 290 West and Highway 36 South. They found a two-vehicle accident with minor damage and no fluids leaking. After helping EMS with patient care and once the vehicles were removed from the roadway, the fire department cleared the call.
Another accident was called in at 6:30 p.m. from the 2200 block of South Market Street. No fluids were leaking, and no one was injured. The vehicle was in a parking lot.
A third transportation incident was reported in the 200 block of Lounge Road close to 9:45 p.m. BFD personnel found a single-vehicle accident with fluids leaking, but no injuries. They used dry absorbent to stop the spread of fluid, returning to service once the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
