ONE ARRESTED BY BRENHAM PD FOR ASSAULT & ENDANGERMENT, ANOTHER FOR INVALID LICENSE

  

Brenham police reported the arrests of two people on Sunday, one for an invalid license and the other on multiple charges including assault and endangerment.

Just shy of 8:15 a.m., Corporal Andrea Guerra initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West for a traffic violation.  Police say the driver, 49-year-old Ramon Zavala of Houston, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in without incident.

At 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Stone Hollow Drive in reference to a reported disturbance.  After investigation, a suspect, 22-year-old Michael Offing of Brenham, was arrested for Assault of a Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction, Interfering with an Emergency Request for Assistance and two counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child.  Offing was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in without incident.  A case report was completed.
