BURTON FOOTBALL POUNDS BARTLETT 69-26 FOR A HOMECOMING WIN

The Burton Panther Football Team behind big nights from Kayden Patterson and Hudson Frank rolled to a 69-26 Homecoming victory over the Bartlett Bulldogs.

Patterson got the Panthers going in the first quarter with a 25-yard touchdown run, the first of his four on the night.

Burton would next get a defensive touchdown as Logun Tosta picked up a fumble and ran it back for another score by the Panthers.

Before the first quarter ended, Patterson scored again, this time on a 55-yard touchdown run, which made it 21-0 for Burton.

In the second quarter, the Panthers tacked on two more rushing touchdowns. Hudson Frank reached the end zone on a three-yard run and Patterson scored on an eight-yard run.

Bartlett managed to score three times in the second quarter to cut into the scoring deficit, but Burton still went into halftime with a 35-20 lead.

Frank got the scoring started in the third quarter with his second touchdown run, which was a 17-yarder. He was followed by Patterson, who reached the end zone for the fourth time on a 13-yard run of his own. That gave Panthers a 48-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Burton put the exclamation point on the game with three more scores. Frank began with a 10-yard touchdown run, his third of the night. Brayden Martin scored on a 36-yard run. Frank would then finish it off with a 38-yard scramble to the end zone.

Bartlett managed only one more score as the Panthers went on to win 69-26.

Patterson finished the night with 17 carries for 256 yards, an average of 15.1 yards per carry, and four touchdowns. Hudson Frank had a career night 22 carries for 223 yards, an average of 10.1 yards per carry, and four touchdowns.

As a team, Burton ran the ball 53 times for 548 yards and nine touchdowns.

Next week, the Panthers will be on the road at the Snook Blue Jays (2-3, 0-2), who are coming off of a 37-8 loss to Holland on Friday.
