SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES BOOKINGS ON CHARGES INCLUDING CRIMINAL TRESPASS, FORGERY
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests on Tuesday.
Just after 4:30 a.m., Sergeant Corey Himebaugh responded to a suspicious person call in the 11700 block of Highway 290 West. The sheriff’s office received a report of a male subject walking around the property and knocking over trash cans. Upon making contract with the subject, he was found to have a warrant in Travis County. 67-year-old Efrem Anthony Hewitt of Humble was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Criminal Trespass.
At 1:30 p.m., Sergeant Himebaugh conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Highway 105 for an expired registration. The driver had three active warrants and was taken into custody. 36-year-old Leonard DuJuan Charles III of Chappell Hill was taken to the Washington County Jail for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, two counts of Driving While License Invalid, and Violating Promise to Appear.
Around 2:30 p.m., Corporals Matthew Brown and Albert Vasquez apprehended a wanted person in the 1700 block of Highway 105. 38-year-old Roderick Dewayne Nolan of Brenham was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Forgery of a Financial Instrument $750 - $2,500 and Forgery of a Financial Instrument Greater than $100.
