BRENHAM ISD EDUCATORS RECEIVE EDUCATION FOUNDATION MINI-GRANTS
The Brenham ISD Education Foundation is visiting local schools this week to support educators.
Representatives from the foundation and the school district – joined by the band, cheerleaders, dance teams and community members – are making their way to campuses to surprise teachers and staff with grants as part of the foundation’s annual Mini-Grant Days of Action.
Each year, the foundation distributes proceeds from its fundraising to go toward additional educational materials and supplies for classrooms, departments and campuses.
In September, the education foundation presented Brenham ISD trustees with a $185,000 donation to be used for educator mini-grants. Since the organization was established in 2004, it has raised over $1.3 million.
Ways to support the education foundation include its annual fundraising dinner in the spring, A Dinner to Remember, as well as the upcoming Brazos Valley Gives on Tuesday, October 20th.
