WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR DOWNTOWN BRENHAM SCARECROW EXTRAVAGANZA
The votes are in, and the winners have been announced for Main Street Brenham’s 23rd Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.

Eight scarecrows out of the 28 entries that registered this year will receive a share of $1,325 in cash prizes from local sponsoring businesses.
The Best Overall scarecrow was Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance’s “Happy Harvest at the Farmers Barn”. The $300 top prize was sponsored by Kelli Dozier State Farm Insurance.
Receiving the award for Most Votes was the Blinn-Brenham Engineer Club for “Trust Me, I’m an Engineer{ing Student}!” The $200 prize was sponsored by BT Longhorn.
Judges Choice went to Jenny Patterson with Walberg Patterson Law for “Practical Magic”. The $200 prize was sponsored by KTEX/KWHI.
The prize for Best Fall Theme goes to Creekside Veterinary Service for “Sally Scarecrow and her Barnyard Friends”. The $125 prize is sponsored by Hermann Furniture.
The Most Creative scarecrow was Cub Company’s “Headless Horseman of Cub Company”. The $125 prize was sponsored by Rustic Ruby.
The winner for Most Educational was Tree Care Inc. for “Timber Tim”. The $125 prize was sponsored by Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance.
The prize for Silliest scarecrow went to Healthy Smiles for “The Molar Patch”. The $125 prize was sponsored by Bluebonnet Abstract & Title.
The award for Cutest scarecrow was presented to Emery+Co. for “Not Your Jolene”. The $125 prize was sponsored by the Brenham Banner-Press.
Winners are requested to check their email for information on setting up a date and time to take a photo and receive their prize money. Scarecrows must be removed from downtown by Sunday, November 1st.
