ACCIDENTS, FIRE ALARMS FOR BRENHAM FD ON MONDAY

The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Monday.

At 7:30 a.m., firefighters went out to the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway for a transportation incident.  They found a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking and proceeded to mitigate the spill and wash the roadway down.  Once both vehicles were removed from the roadway, the department returned to service.

Another accident was reported at 1 p.m. at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road.  There, BFD members found a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking.  After testing the fluid, they found it was coolant.

Two fire alarms were called in at the Washington County Expo, 1305 East Blue Bell Road, one around 3:15 p.m. and another shortly after 7:15 p.m.  No fire or smoke was found.  The alarm was reset.
