SECOND SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR BRYAN MURDER/THIRD PERSON SOUGHT
A Bryan teenager has been arrested and charged with murder.
18-year old Saul Lee Suarez is the second arrest in the death of 19-year old Johnathon Munoz, who was gunned down at Williamson Park in Bryan.
A 16-year-old has also been arrested for the September 8th murder.
Police say a warrant has also been issued for a third suspect in the murder.
17-year old Adriana Garcia of Bryan is wanted on a charge of murder.
According to police reports, the murder stemmed from a robbery. Police say Suarez and the 16-year-old planned to rob Munoz of the marijuana he was selling.
The robbery ended in a gunfight between Munoz and the 16-year-old. Police say Suarez was acting as a lookout.
Cellphone records show, minutes before his death, Munoz was texting with the teenager about the drug deal.
Police believe the 16-year-old planned the robbery so he could turn around and sell the marijuana.
Suarez’ bond is set for $108,000 for both the murder charge and a weapon-related charge.
Anyone with information which could lead to the arrest of Garcia is asked to contact the Bryan Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
