BRENHAM POLICE CATCH LOUISIANA MAN
Brenham police arrested a 23-year old Louisiana man for outstanding warrants from his home state.
Brenham police officer Hunter Andreas stopped a car near the Citizen’s State Bank just past 11pm Wednesday because the vehicle did not have a light on the license plate.
Officer Andreas detected a strong odor of marijuana when he came up to the vehicle, prompting a probable cause search. No marijuana was found but during the search, he did a radio dispatch check and found that the driver, 23-year old Daryl Wayne Thomas was wanted on a Driving Under the Influence of alcohol from Louisiana. Louisiana officials told Brenham police that they want Thomas extradited.
