ACCUSED CALDWELL TEACHER RESIGNS THURSDAY

  

The Caldwell teacher arrested last week and charged with having an improper relationship with a student has resigned.

37 year old Jamie Goforth, a teacher at Caldwell High School, resigned from her position Thursday.  Goforth, the wife of Caldwell ISD Athletic Director Bobby Jack Goforth, is charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student.  She is accused of having a relationship with a 15 year old male student since October of last year.  A special meeting of the Caldwell School Board, which had been scheduled for Thursday night, was cancelled after Goforth submitted her resignation.
