6 MILLION DOLLARS IN CRYSTAL METH FOUND IN VEHICLE

Two men are in the Fayette County Jail after $6,000,000 in crystal meth was found in their vehicle.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Monday at 2:30pm, Sgt. Randy Thumann and K-9 partner Lobos initiated a traffic stop on IH-10, on a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, for several traffic infractions.

During the course of his investigation, Sgt. Thumann observed several criminal indicators in the stories that were provided by the driver and passenger of the vehicle.  Sgt. Thumann obtained consent to search and deployed his K-9, Lobos, who alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

Through further investigation, the gas tank was dropped on the vehicle and observed to have a false compartment built inside, which contained approximately 60 kilos of crystal meth, with an estimated street value of approximately $6,000,000.

Arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance were 35 year old Miguel Angel Lozano Alvarez and 24 year old Alma Rosario Nieto Villarreal, both of Mexico.  Both subjects were transported and booked into the Fayette County Jail with a bond set for Alvarez at $50,000 and for Villarreal at $10,000.

  1. i hope someone is watching Lobo’s back. He is costing the Mexican crime syndicates a lot of money.

  2. Seems like an awfully low bond for the amount of crystal meth they had. 6 kilos of meth and a 10k and 50k bond. Really?
