AUSTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVES NRA GRANT

The National Rifle Association Foundation has donated nearly four thousand dollars to the Austin County Sheriff’s Office to fund practice ammunition for the deputies.  Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes stated "We are very excited about receiving funding to purchase practice ammunition and pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our community."

The grant will supply 9mm, 40 and 45caliber practice ammunition to allow state licensed peace officers employed by the Austin County Sheriff’s Office to continue monthly practice range time.

The NRA Foundation raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities.
