WARNER, COX, HARMEL ELECTED TO BURTON SCHOOL BOARD

The Burton School Board will have two new members when it next meets.

David Warner Sr. and Tracey Cox were elected to the board, Saturday.

Warner received 250 votes, while Cox received 225 to claim the two positions that were up for election on the board.

Incumbent Ande Bostain finished third with 209 votes.  A second incumbent, Brian Jaeger got 52 votes, but had already announced he was stepping down from the board.

In the race for the remainder of an unexpired term, vacated with the resignation of Ronnie Hohlt, Jeff Harmel defeated Ricky Ripple, 209 to 184.  Harmel had originally been appointed to the post on an interim basis last year when Hohlt stepped down.
