GRIMES COUNTY TO BEGIN DIGITIZING HISTORICAL RECORDS
Grimes County Commissioners have approved a contract to begin digitizing historical county records.
At a recent meeting, the Court approved county clerk David Pasket’s request to approve a contract with Conduit to digitize records from the years 1846-1967.
According to Pasket, the project is expected to take three years, and will be done in 20-year spans, starting with 1947-1967 and 1906-1947. The project will then process records from 1846-1906.
The contract, as well as fees for oversight of the project, brings project costs to $360,000. The project will be paid out over three years, with 12 payments of $30,000 each quarter.
