WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS COPSYNC BANKRUPTCY PLAN

  

Washington County Commissioners will look at COPsync’s bankruptcy plan when they meet Tuesday morning.

Commissioners will consider the proposed bankruptcy plan for Washington County’s unsecured claim.  The Court could potentially enter into a lawsuit against COPsync for not fulfilling contractual obligations.

COPsync is a Texas-based company that sells a messaging system to law enforcement and public safety officials so they can tie in to a central system and share information in real time.

COPsync products share information about people, places and situations quickly across department lines, allowing agencies to talk to one another quickly enough when time matters most.

COPsync announced in October they had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The Court will also look at approving a bond for the road and bridge engineer, and at approving a renewal bond for a reserved deputy sheriff.
