BRENHAM POLICE DEPT. HOSTS CHIEFS MEETING

  

The Brenham Police Department hosted its quarterly meeting of the East Central Texas Police Chief’s Association Wednesday afternoon.

The East Central Texas Police Chief’s Association includes member chiefs from police departments like Brenham, Navasota, Waller, Bryan, College Station, Conroe, and Huntsville, among others.

Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Raul Ortiz—serving U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the Rio Grande Valley—spoke at the event, presenting updates on border strategies and planning to a group of almost 40 area law enforcement chiefs and assistant chiefs.

Julie Prescott and Jan Roe of Kologik Dynamic Group—a company specializing in sharing of data among law enforcement and schools—also spoke at yesterday’s meeting.  Prescott and Roe showcased new software for assisting law enforcement and schools with security responses.

Police Chief Louis Barrow thanked Chief Ortiz, as well as Prescott and Roe, for travelling to Brenham and giving their presentations.  He also thanked all Brenham staff who assisted with the presentation.
