LUNCH-N-LEARN SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR 2019

  

The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners of Washington County will present the next year of the “Lunch-N-Learn” series, beginning in February.

The series covers horticultural topics for every kind of home and garden, and speakers offer information and tips on how to be the best gardener possible.

2019’s schedule can be found below:

  • February 5th – Growing Tomatoes Successfully with Dr. Kevin Crosby, horticulture science professor at Texas A&M University.
  • March 5th – Lawn Maintenance Calendar with Dr. Rebecca Grubbs, Extension turfgrass specialist.
  • April 2nd – Bokashi Composting with Per Bergstol, local expert.
  • May 7th – Top 10 Plant Diseases with Shelia McBride, Texas Plant Disease Diagnostic Lab.
  • September 3rd – Sustainable Landscape Principles with Dr. Bill Welch, Extension landscape horticulturist.
  • October 1st – Tree Facts from the Tree Expert with Lee Davis, Davis Treescapes.
  • November 5th – Greenhouse Management with Al Prescott, Certified Master Gardener.

Program registration begins at 11:50 a.m., with the program starting at 12:05 p.m. and ending at 12:55 p.m. At the end of each session, the speaker and Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions.

The Lunch-N-Learn sessions will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds Sales Facility in Brenham, on 1305 East Blue Bell Road. All programs are free to the public, and participants are invited to bring their own lunch and drink.
