COLUMBUS H-E-B ROBBERY SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
A suspect in the robbery of the Columbus H-E-B earlier in January has been taken into custody.

24-year-old Marquis “Trey” Alexander of Needville is currently being held at the Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond, on several outstanding warrants.
One of the warrants is from Columbus police for Aggravated Robbery, enhanced to a 1st Degree Felony for assaulting an elderly victim during the robbery. His bond is currently set at $250,000.
Columbus police have been assisted by the Brenham and Wharton Police Departments, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, F.B.I., and the U.S. Marshall’s Office.
The Columbus Police Department thanks all the agencies who assisted with the case, which is still being investigated.
