DOWNTOWN BRENHAM SET TO HOST UPTOWN SWIRL
It’s Uptown Swirl time in Downtown Brenham.
The long-awaited wine walk through the streets of downtown gets underway this (Saturday) afternoon from 3 to 7 p.m., rain or shine.
Guests are encouraged to visit shops all through downtown and see what they have to offer, all while sampling wines suited for anyone’s liking.
A map will be available at the Washington County Courthouse gazebo, featuring a complete list of wines at each participating store.
Wine glasses act as tickets for the event, and they were picked up from stores on Friday. However, any glasses left will be sold at the gazebo for $40 this afternoon.
Funds raised at today’s event will go towards Main Street Brenham and its incentive grant fund, helping with costs for renovating facades in downtown.
Sponsors of this year’s “Uptown Swirl” include Cathy Cole of Heritage Texas Country Properties and H.E.B.
