BRENHAM MCJROTC TAKES TOP SPOT IN WEEKEND COMPETITION

  

The Brenham High School Marine Corp Junior ROTC program took the top spot at a recent competition.

In this season’s fourth competition, the local students finished 1st at the Allen High School competition held in Allen, Texas.

The Brenham cadets earned recognition as meet champions with a first place overall finish.

The Armed Drill Team, led by senior Kody Province and sophomore Wyatt Trevino, placed first in Regulation Drill and second in Exhibition.

The Unarmed Drill Team, led by seniors Cynthia Kulow and Dre’Nysce Brown, placed first in Regulation Drill and second in Exhibition.

The Female Color Guard, led by junior Kylie Adams placed first. Additionally, the male and female fitness teams, academics, and inspection teams placed first.

The next competition is March 23 at the Woodlands College Park for Regionals and a chance for the Brenham MCJROTC to earn its third straight invitation to Nationals.

Nationals will be held in Virginia this year providing the top 16 schools throughout the U.S. the opportunity to compete for the honor of National Champion.
