FORMER BUC COACH REHR, NEW HEAD COACH AT U OF H

Former Blinn Buccaneer volleyball coach David Rehr has been named the sixth head coach at the University of Houston.
Rehr spent the previous seven years at Arkansas State and returns to Texas after serving as the head coach at Blinn College (2003-11) for nine years.
Rehr won 313 games and led Blinn two national championships (in 2008 and 2011) and eight regional championships. He was inducted to the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2011.
At Arkansas State, Rehr won back-to-back Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Coach of the Year honors, in 2015 and 2016.
