DROP-OFF IN EARLY VOTING WEDNESDAY

  

A rough day of weather slowed early voters as they made their way to the polls Wednesday.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel said Wednesday brought in 141 voters for the Blinn election, down from Tuesday’s 177.  The City of Brenham election had 101 votes, also down from Tuesday’s 159.

Through three days of early voting, 495 votes have been cast in the Blinn election, and 404 in the Brenham election.

Early voting continues through tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 5 p.m., with extended hours next Monday and Tuesday until 8 p.m.

Rothermel says anyone finding it hard to get to the Courthouse Annex during working hours should come take advantage of the later hours offered Monday and Tuesday.
