WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT

  

Washington County Commissioners will seek program management services for the new county Road and Bridge Facility at their meeting Tuesday.

Commissioners will look to advertise requests for qualifications for a program manager for various projects with the county’s capital improvement programs. Following approval, the county will then consider an agreement with ECM International Inc., for program management services for the new facility.

The county ceremonially broke ground at the site of the new facility Monday, located on Highway 36 North. The county intends to pay for the $4,080,000 facility using cash reserves.

Also in session, commissioners will hold public hearing and possibly act on adding center line stripes on Flewellen Road, off of Highway 105 in Precinct One.

The double center line yellow stripe would be added 200 feet south of Whitman Road for a distance of 1.25 miles, and a tenth of a mile south of Highway 105 for a distance of 2,000 feet. County Judge John Durrenberger said it has been highly requested to add these stripes for safety reasons.

The court will also issue a pair of proclamations. Commissioners will proclaim May 5-11 as National Travel and Tourism Week and Correctional Officers Week.

Commissioners will also consider:

• Appointment or reappointment of John Chancellor, Larry Neveux, Paul Aschenbeck, John Wick, Ricky Boeker, Kirk Hanath, Kevin Deramus, and Bryan Ruemke to the Homeland Security Advisory Committee.
• Request for proposals for a wage study consultant.
• Approval for JP Precinct One to purchase a Fujitsu Color Scanner out of the JP Technology fund.
• Approval of a request from the County Engineer to purchase Asset Essentials Software Program from Dude Solutions.
• Formal notice for a road bore by PGMS-Central Washington County Water Supply for a service line repair at 410 Farmers Road in Precinct Four.
• Formal notice of a pipeline crossing at Oevermann Road by Wildhorse Resources in Precinct Four.
• Formal notice for a temporary water line by GeoSouthern Chalk II on Mayer Cemetery Road in Precinct Four.
• A resolution certifying the county has granted funds this year to the Washington County Healthy Living Association (WCHLA), and that the county approves WCHLA’s accounting system or fiscal agent, in order for it to be eligible to receive funds from the Texas Department of Agriculture home-delivered meal grant program.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., at the Washington County Courthouse.
