Hundreds of high school students in Washington County will begin their next chapter in life this weekend.

Seniors at Brenham and Burton High Schools are preparing for each of their graduation ceremonies.

Andrea Jantzi (Brenham High School)

Brenham’s ceremonies will begin Saturday night at 8 p.m. at Cub Stadium, with Burton’s on Friday night at 8 p.m. at Panther Stadium.

Approximately 354 seniors will be graduating from Brenham High School.  Two of those will be Valedictorian Danielle Deans, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Deans, and Salutatorian Andrea Jantzi, daughter of David and Collena Jantzi.

Caleb Harmel (Burton High School)

Meanwhile, Burton High School will see 29 graduates receive their diplomas, including Valedictorian Caleb Harmel and Salutatorian Jessica Villarreal.  Harmel is the son of Jeffrey and Rachel Harmel, and Villarreal the daughter of Gloria Cosino.

KWHI will have a live broadcast from Saturday night’s ceremonies at Cub Stadium in Brenham, starting at 8 p.m.
