WORK CONTINUES IN NAVASOTA ISD THROUGH SUMMER

The next phase of Navasota’s $61 million school bond project has begun.

Both the high school and junior high are on schedule to receive new roofs this summer.

Dirt work started last month at Navasota High School, while new projects have begun where the tennis courts were.

As far as indoor work is concerned: the woodshop, welding and floral design classrooms are all being remodeled.  New programs are also being added, including vet medicine and automotive tech.

A new bus lane is on the way, along with a new science wing.  A new science wing and Kickstart complex are also being added at the Junior High.

Construction is expected to continue for up to a year and a half.

Prior to the bond being approved in November 2017, it had been 13 years since a Navasota bond issue had been passed.
